Gridlock Privacy Policy
Effective 18 October 2026. Updated 28 October 2026.
In short: The Gridlock does not collect personal data. There is no account, no advertising and no tracking. To count our sales, a record of each purchase is sent to RevenueCat, our sales-statistics provider, under a random identifier that does not identify you.
1. Who is responsible
The Gridlock (shown as Gridlock on your Home Screen) is published by Hamdi Jomaa, entrepreneur individuel (EI), a French sole trader, 41 B rue des Roches, 45210 Ferrières-en-Gâtinais, France, SIREN 927 699 579 (“we”, “us”). Contact for anything in this policy: hamdijomaa.x@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
No personal data. We do not collect your name, e-mail address, contacts, location or anything else that identifies you, and we do not sell or share data. The Gridlock contains no advertising or tracking code and does not use the advertising identifier. The only data that leaves your device for us is the anonymous purchase record described in section 5.
3. What stays on your device
Your progress (the locks you have cracked, your CRED, rank and HEAT streak, Chips, boosters and cosmetics, your records and what you have bought) and your settings are saved on your device so the game can remember them.
4. Game Center and saved games
If you sign in to Game Center, the game uses it in two ways:
- It keeps a copy of your progress as a Game Center saved game, which Apple stores in your own iCloud account so your progress can follow you from one device to another. It also reads your own bests from its leaderboards to restore your progress. We cannot see or access your saved game.
- It sends your scores, achievements, activities and challenge progress to Game Center, which shows them to you and, depending on your Game Center settings, to other players (for example your nickname and score on a leaderboard).
Game Center and iCloud are run by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can play without signing in, and you can manage your Game Center profile and visibility in the Settings app › Game Center.
5. In-app purchases
In-app purchases are sold by Apple through the App Store, and Apple handles the payment. We never see your name, e-mail address or payment details. On your device, the game only receives Apple’s confirmation of which item was bought, so that it can deliver it. Apple gives us sales reports that do not identify you. Ask to Buy requests are handled entirely by Apple.
To count our sales, the game also uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States). RevenueCat only records purchases: it never handles payment and never decides what you own. When the game starts, it registers your device with RevenueCat under a random identifier created on the device. After each purchase, it sends RevenueCat Apple’s signed record of it (the item, its price and currency, the date and Apple’s transaction identifier) with basic technical details (app version, device model, system version and App Store country). Once per device, and when you tap Restore Purchases, the game also lets RevenueCat read the purchases Apple already holds for this app, so earlier purchases are counted too. Like any internet service, RevenueCat sees your device’s IP address when the game connects.
This identifier is not linked to your name, your Apple Account or your Game Center profile, and it is never used for advertising or tracking. We use these records only for sales statistics, on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding our sales (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). RevenueCat processes them on our behalf under its privacy policy and data processing agreement, which covers transfers outside the European Union, and keeps them while our account is active.
6. Crash reports and App Store statistics
If you chose to share analytics with app developers (Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements), Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. They do not identify you, and we use them only to fix problems. You can turn this off at any time in the same place.
7. Children
The Gridlock collects no personal data from anyone, children included; the anonymous purchase records described in section 5 do not identify the player. Parents can approve or block in-app purchases with Ask to Buy and Screen Time.
8. Your rights
We hold no data that identifies you. The purchase records in RevenueCat are tied only to a random identifier on your device, which we cannot link to you; if you would like yours deleted, write to us with the Apple order ID from your purchase receipt and we will delete the matching record. Deleting the app removes the progress saved on your device; your Game Center saved game and your other Game Center data are tied to your Apple Account and managed by Apple. If you have any question, write to hamdijomaa.x@gmail.com. You may also complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL, or to the authority in your country.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. If The Gridlock ever started collecting other data, we would say so here and in the App Store before it happened.
