Kiji Terms of Use
Effective 27 September 2026.
These terms govern your use of Kiji, an app for boards, todos, documents and habits on iPhone, iPad and Mac, and of the sync service it connects to (together, "Kiji"). Kiji is made and offered by Hamdi Jomaa, entrepreneur individuel (EI), a French sole trader, 41 B rue des Roches, 45210 Ferrières-en-Gâtinais, France, SIREN 927 699 579 (hamdijomaa.x@gmail.com) ("we", "us"). The End User License Agreement and the Privacy Policy also apply. By using Kiji you accept these terms.
1. Your account
You sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email address and password. Your content syncs between every device signed in to the same account. Keep your sign-in credentials secure; you are responsible for what is done through your account.
2. Plans and billing
Kiji requires an active plan bought through the App Store.
- Subscriptions (Essential, Plus and Pro) are billed monthly or yearly to your Apple Account and renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the free trial or of the current period, in your App Store account settings. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Free trial. Where a subscription includes a free trial, its length is shown in the app before you subscribe, as provided by the App Store. If you do not turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged.
- Lifetime is a single payment that gives you the Pro features for as long as Kiji is offered, with no renewal.
- What the plans differ in: the amount of media (images and videos) an account may keep, and support. Essential: 1 GB and 200 media items. Plus: 5 GB and 1,000 items. Pro and Lifetime: 25 GB, unlimited items, and priority support. Everyone can write to support, whatever their plan.
- Prices are shown in the App Store in your local currency, including applicable taxes. They may change; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and Apple informs you of a price increase as its rules require.
- Apple is the merchant. All payments are taken and processed by Apple; we never see your payment details. Refunds are requested from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) and decided under Apple's terms.
- Right of withdrawal (EU, EEA, UK). Consumers may have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases. Because Apple sells the purchase, the withdrawal is exercised with Apple, under Apple's policy, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are glad to help: write to us.
3. When a plan lapses
If your subscription ends or is refunded, your content is kept, but the app is locked for editing until a plan is active again. You can always export your data and delete your account from within the app, with or without an active plan.
4. Your content
What you write and add in Kiji is yours. We claim no ownership of it. You give us only the permission needed to store, transmit, back up and sync it to your devices at your direction. We do not sell it, share it, use it for advertising or use it to train any model. Deleting your account deletes your content as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Kiji to store, sync or share content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, or that harms others; do not attack, overload, probe or circumvent Kiji's security or limits; do not use Kiji in breach of applicable sanctions or export laws.
6. Reporting illegal content and point of contact
Your content is private to your account; only a profile picture can be reached by someone who has its exact web address. If you come across content hosted by Kiji that you believe is illegal, report it to hamdijomaa.x@gmail.com with: where the content is (for example the address of the image), why you consider it illegal, your name and email address (unless the report concerns child sexual abuse material), and a statement that you believe the report is accurate and complete. We confirm receipt, decide promptly and diligently, and tell you the outcome and how to contest it. The same address is our single point of contact for authorities and users under the EU Digital Services Act (Articles 11 and 12); you can write to us in English or French. If we restrict content or an account, we tell the person concerned why and how to contest the decision.
7. Availability and changes to Kiji
We work to keep Kiji available and secure, but it may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. We may improve or change features. If we ever stop offering Kiji, we will give reasonable notice and let you export your data first.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Kiji at any time and delete your account in the app. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms, after notice and a chance to put things right where the breach can be put right and the law requires it. You keep the ability to export your data unless the law prevents it.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services in the EU. Subject to that, see the End User License Agreement for the rest of our liability terms. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when Kiji or the law changes. For a change that materially affects you, we will tell you in the app in advance. The effective date at the top shows the current version.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. Please write to us first so we can try to settle any complaint directly. EU consumers may also use a consumer mediation or alternative dispute resolution body in their country.
12. Languages
These terms are available in several languages at https://hamdij0maa.github.io/kiji-legal/. If versions differ, the English version prevails, except where the law of your country requires otherwise.
